Duties and Responsibilities
Under direction and guidance from your line manager you will:-
Promote service users wellbeing and independence in line with their care plans and risk assessments
Contribute as a member of the team to making a positive difference to the lives of our service users by engaging with them and supporting them in their education, work, and leisure activities.
Support service users to undertake and develop skills in daily living tasks including but not exclusively making healthy meal choices, meal preparation, and personal care and taking medication where appropriate.
Undertake the role of key / link worker to named service users
Understand basic legal and communication issues regarding abuse, family violence, vulnerable adults, substance abuse and addictive behaviours where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with internal and external colleagues and liaise with families and carers in a tactful and sensitive manner.
Maintain timely and accurate records and complete reports as required
Report any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user to a senior member of staff without delay.
Report any safeguarding concerns you have in respect of service users in line with policy and without delay.
Undertake training and development to ensure your skills and competency are relevant to your role and service users’ needs
Contribute to ensuring that the service user’s home is clean and well maintained as any home should be.
Contribute and actively participate in staff meetings
Respect our Service users as individuals whose choices may change whilst encouraging choice, whilst encouraging independence.
Maintain confidentiality of information relating to service users, relatives, staff and the service.
Uphold Resolves Values in all the work that you undertake
Be familiar with and work in accordance to Resolve’s policies and procedures at all times
Take responsibility for you own developmental learning and performance and maintain a record of your own personal development.
Support the owners, registered manager and other staff in their duties as directed.
