The Resolve model of care includes an emphasis on providing meaningful activities for the people we support.
This can be a range of things ranging from developing independent living skills, gardening, sports, or helping out in the local community. At Resolve Care, we are passionate about giving back to the community and work hard to make a real difference to the lives of adults with learning difficulties.
Resolve supports a service users football team which competes in the North East Ability Counts League. Other sports available to service users include horse-riding, cycling and trampolining. Resolve employs a full-time sports/activities coach.
The garden at Low House is managed and tended by service users supervised by professional gardeners. The organic produce is used in the kitchens of our homes, and the surplus sold locally.
Some residents volunteer locally to support coffee mornings for the elderly and undertake outdoor projects under the John Muir award scheme.
This is a newly established Community Interest Company set up for the for the benefit of residents to enable the garden produce and woodcraft products to be sold on a more commercial basis.
